The decking was finished yesterday. Not quite in time for Lauren’s birthday party, but it was in good enough shape for the party and the kids absolutely love it. There was a brief discussion about whether we really needed a trampoline any more but seems the younger view has prevailed. We need to get something growing in those planters now!

Five years in and we are still working on the house. This time we are getting the back yard decked. In preparation I had to repoint the back wall because it was looking particularly scabby. Youtube is absolutely brilliant for this – where else could you learn how to point a wall? Very pleased with progress so far – the new deck is down, the back fence is half done and the guys are out there today building the bench and other remaining bits. Shame we have to put the trampoline back in!

This is all in preparation for Lauren’s 5th birthday party tomorrow and the terrible weather this week means we are behind schedule. Lets see what it looks like in the morning!
