Happy Birthday Sophie. Having a big Halloween themed party at the weekend but for now we are enjoying a quiet morning. Sophie is very excited by her presents including this easel and blackboard and a rabbit backpack from Oonagh. She is most excited to be 4 and wants to measure herself to see if she’s got any taller.

The living room was just going to be skimmed but turned out to be a bigger job as usual! Look at this archway exposed by the plasterer. There was a large French wood burning stove set in front of this with a dreadful B&Q fire surround. Why they didn’t just set it back under this archway is hard to understand. Anyway the Godin Stove is up on ebay now so let’s see how it does.

House work

I have just finished moving the doorway along so that the plasterer can completely finish the hall stairs and landing. He got down to the first floor today and will be working on the ground floor tomorrow. More mess for now but really going to look good soon.
