Happy Birthday Lauren
Lauren is One today. She was also Christened hence the white party dress. The Christening was a howl – there were 11 childen being christened – one family had three to get “done” the oldest of whom was about 6. The reason for the glut of babies was simple – the Monsignor, who is prone to asking lots of difficult theological questions, like do you believe in God, was on leave due to a hip replacement and his stand in was regarded as a little easier to deal with. Lucky break.
Following the Christening we took everyone off to a local restaurant in Laytown, ovelooking the beach. Sun was splitting the stones and everyone had a great time, including Lauren who screamed with delight when Happy Birthday was sung to her. Centre of attention and loving it.
